DVR merupakan sebuah alat yang berfungsi untuk menyimpan hasil record dari beberapa kamera cctv. Alat ini juga berfungsi sebagai management central untuk semua kamera yang terhubung olehnya.DVR menggunakan harddisk untuk media penyimpanannya.DVR 4 channel adalah dvr yang mampu menangani 4 unit camera cctv, begitu selanjutnya dengan DVR 8 channel dan seterusnya.
